Research Interests:

1. Research on the application of wide-spectrum light-harvesting metal-organic frameworks in photocatalysis.

Based on coordination chemistry theory, design and synthesize water-phase stable wide-spectrum light-harvesting metal-organic framework materials using molecular engineering and crystal engineering strategies; carry out research on solar photocatalytic water splitting, carbon dioxide reduction, and nitrate reduction; explore the "structure-property" relationship of catalytic systems through the explicit structure of metal-organic framework materials to provide ideas for the development of new MOF-based catalyst materials for efficient solar energy photochemical conversion.

2. Research on the application of conductive metal-organic frameworks in electrocatalysis.

Using the tunable and controllable characteristics of metal-organic framework structures, develop new synthetic strategies for conductive metal-organic frameworks with catalytically active sites for carbon dioxide reduction, nitrate reduction, or nitrogen reduction; conduct electrocatalytic activation studies on small molecules such as CO2, NO3-, and N2; through advanced in-situ XAS-FTIR/Raman combined platforms, combined with the explicit structure of metal-organic frameworks to investigate the changes in metal-organic framework structures and the evolution rules of intermediate species during the electrocatalytic reaction process, guiding the design and synthesis of highly efficient and selective MOF-based new materials that reduce CO2, NO3-, and N2to high-value-added products.
